  • 2GB of RAM
  • 2GB of hard disk space
  • 1280*720 or higher resolution display
  • ODBC / OLE/DB Drivers where needed
  • Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 (if not included in the OS)

Operating Systems Supported:

  • Windows 11

  • Windows 2016 Server
  • Linux using Wine [D1] (or an equivalent Crossover version)
  • Mac OS X 10.8 or higher using Wine [D1] (or an equivalent Crossover version)
  • macOS 10.15 or higher using CrossOver Mac 20 [D2]

 

[D1]   Wine is continually updated, so the version used can impact Enterprise Architect's behavior.
Version 5.0 is the minimum that should be used. In our experience the historical versions of 6.0 and 9.0 have provided the best experience.
While Sparx Systems continually test against the current release of Wine, it is common that small changes in behavior are introduced with new releases that directly impact Enterprise Architect, and we are required to make changes to workaround these differences.
For the best experience, we recommend using the previous version of the Stable release from winehq.org.

[D2]   Apple removed support for 32 bit applications in macOS 10.15. Crossover will still allow Enterprise Architect to run, but Wine will not.
